Lauren was born in Illinois but grew up in Miami, Florida. When she was 8 years old, her family began traveling to Wyoming every year. She and her husband made the decision to relocate to Jackson to be near extended family after their first son was born. Lauren, Edward, and their sons enjoy all the valley has to offer, including skiing, camping, fly fishing, hiking, and horseback riding.
Lauren graduated from the Pepperdine University School of Law in 2006 and is a partner at Mannen Browne LLC. Lauren’s practice focuses exclusively on family law, including but not limited to, divorce, custody, paternity, custody modifications, adoptions, guardianships, surrogacy, and the negotiation of prenuptial agreements. Lauren also represents children as a Guardian ad Litem in custody matters. Prior to forming Mannen Browne, Lauren had her own solo practice for 5 years and served as the Executive Director of the Teton County Access to Justice Center from 2014-2015. Later, she served on the board from 2015-2020. Lauren is also licensed in California and practiced family Law and civil litigation in Los Angeles and Orange County for six years. In Los Angeles, she was a volunteer attorney with the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Clinic. Lauren serves as a member of the Wyoming State Bar Family Law Council Section. She also is a guest speaker and panelist at seminars throughout Wyoming.

Katie was born in St. Louis, Missouri. Her connection to Jackson began as a young girl when she and her family would spend many vacations in the area. She earned her B.A. in 2009 from Elon University in North Carolina. In 2012, she earned her J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law. While in law school, Katie worked at the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Katie was admitted to the Wyoming State Bar in 2013. She worked for the Teton County and Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for one year before going into private practice in May 2014 at a local Jackson, Wyoming firm. Katie made the decision to start her own practice, Mannen Law, LLC in 2016 and is now a partner at Mannen Browne LLC. Katie is admitted to practice in Wyoming State and Federal Courts.

Katie recognizes that many of her clients are navigating the most difficult time in their lives, and takes pride in her role as their counselor, advisor, and advocate. In addition to her regular practice, Katie takes cases through the Teton County Access to Justice Center which helps to provide legal services for citizens in Wyoming who otherwise could not afford representation. She has also been appointed by the court to represent individuals in involuntary hospitalization matters. She is a member and former president of the Teton County Bar Association, a member of the Wyoming State Bar, and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association.
Katie’s philanthropic endeavors include a long-time involvement in the local committee for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The committee is tasked with putting on an annual fundraising event in Jackson every summer. Katie is also an active trustee of the Berges Family Foundation located in her hometown of St. Louis. The Berges Family Foundation supports and helps fund cultural engagement, STEM preparedness, youth empowerment, and support for our heroes and first responders. Katie and her husband, a Jackson native and rancher by trade, enjoy spending their time outdoors with their herd of animals including dogs, horses, and a miniature cow!
