The Wyoming State Bar does not permit any Wyoming lawyer to be certified as a specialist or an expert in a particular area of the law. If you are considering hiring a lawyer you should independently investigate the lawyer’s credentials and ability and not rely upon advertisements or self-proclaimed expertise.
Anita is an associate attorney at Mannen Browne, where her practice focuses on family law. Originally from the Chicago area, she moved to Colorado to attend Colorado College, graduating in 2020. She went on to earn a Master’s degree from the University of Denver before completing law school at the University of Colorado. Prior to joining Mannen Browne, Anita worked at a trust company. After law school, she made the move to Jackson. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and skiing in the winter.
Katie Mannen is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, but her connection to Jackson, Wyoming began early in life, when she and her family spent significant time in the area. That longstanding connection ultimately brought her back to Jackson, where she has built both her legal career and her family.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2009 from Elon University in North Carolina and her Juris Doctor in 2012 from the University of Wyoming College of Law. While in law school, she worked with the Wyoming Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, an experience that helped shape her commitment to client-centered, compassionate advocacy.
Following graduation, Katie worked with the Teton County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for one year before transitioning into private practice in May 2014 at a local Jackson firm. In 2016, she founded Mannen Law, LLC, and she is now a partner at Mannen Browne LLC. Katie is admitted to practice in both Wyoming State and Federal Courts.
Katie’s practice focuses on:
• Family law including divorce, legal separation, child custody, child support, modification of child custody and child support, paternity actions, adoptions, guardianships, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements
• Criminal defense including misdemeanor and felony charges
• Protection orders for domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking
• Mediation
Katie understands that many of her clients come to her during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. She takes pride in serving not only as an advocate, but also as a trusted counselor and advisor, helping clients navigate complex legal issues with clarity, empathy, and practical guidance.
In addition to her private practice, Katie has provided legal services through the Teton County Access to Justice Center, assisting individuals who might not otherwise have access to legal representation. She has also been appointed by the court to represent individuals in involuntary hospitalization proceedings. Katie is a member and former president of the Teton County Bar Association, and she is an active member of the Wyoming State Bar and the Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association.
Katie is deeply committed to community service and philanthropy. She has long been involved with the local committee for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, which organizes an annual fundraising event in Jackson. She also serves as a trustee of the Berges Family Foundation in St.
Louis, which supports cultural engagement, STEM preparedness, youth empowerment, and initiatives benefiting first responders and community heroes. In addition, Katie is a founding board member of Cops for Kids JH, an organization dedicated to fostering trust, understanding, and positive relationships between law enforcement and youth in the community.
Outside of her practice, Katie enjoys life in Jackson with her husband, a Jackson native, and their two daughters. She values time spent outdoors and in the community, and in her free time enjoys traveling, cooking, entertaining, and all things equine. Their home is shared with a lively group of animals, including dogs, horses, a barn cat, and a beloved miniature cow.

Lauren grew up in Miami, Florida, and — after many childhood trips to Wyoming — relocated to Jackson with her husband, Edward, following the birth of their first son. She and their sons enjoy everything the valley offers: skiing, camping, fly fishing, hiking, and horseback riding.
A 2006 graduate of Pepperdine University School of Law, Lauren is a partner at Mannen Browne LLC and focuses exclusively on family law. She handles divorce, custody and paternity matters, custody modifications, adoptions, guardianships, surrogacy, and prenuptial agreements, and frequently serves as a Guardian ad Litem for children. Before forming Mannen Browne, Lauren maintained a solo practice for five years and served as Executive Director (2014–2015) and later board member (2015–2020) of the Teton County Access to Justice Center. Licensed in both Wyoming and California, she practiced family law and civil litigation in Los Angeles and Orange County and volunteered with the Los Angeles Domestic Violence Clinic. Lauren regularly serves on various family law and legal aid committees and speaks at statewide seminars.
